I'm really bad for makeup brushes - I never used to put much importance on them, and the only decent one I had was a kabuki brush as I use powder foundation. I'll use those sponge applicators that come with eyeshadow sets (namely, MUA Heaven and Earth), and if I buy a makeup brush, I'll go for cheap and not think too much of whether its actually working for me. SUCH a bad habit, I know.
Recently I've really been trying to break out of this, and when I had one of those lethal £5 No7 vouchers lying around, I decided to bite the bullet and get myself a decent eyeshadow brush. I wanted something similar to the MAC 217, and for £2.75 with my voucher, the No7 Eyeshadow Blend and Contour brush seemed ideal!
I've had it for about 2 months now, and honestly I don't know how I survived without it before! It blends perfectly, is so soft, and pretty much just works like a dream. The only problem I have with it is it does shed - every time I use it, I'll find stray brush hairs, so for that reason I'm not too sure if I would pay the full price for it. I was looking at Sigma brushes, and they're a fairly similar price point, so I probably would have gone for one instead. However, for £2.75 you can't go far wrong!
