Revlon Lip Butter - Strawberry Shortcake

I wasn't really too fussed about the Revlon Lip Butters initially - I like full coverage generally, and these just seemed more like an overpriced tinted lip balm. However when Boots had a 3-for-2 deal on, I couldn't resist picking one up - I went for Strawberry Shortcake, as I do love pink shades, and as a blue toned pink, it seemed ideal for my cooler skin tone.

I find the consistency to be absolutely lovely - really creamy and moisturising. The pigmentation is ok, I have really pigmented lips so it takes a fair bit of colour to show up, however this does give a nice hint of pink - darker than I would have hoped for in some lights, but I've been wearing this over my Barry M Marshmallow Lip Paint, which seems to be the ideal combition, as the Lip Butter provides a nice pink sheen to an otherwise fairly drying nude lipstick!

Above is the Lip Butter worn on its own, and I'm surprised at how much this shade has grown on me - from being unsure initially, I am definitely warming to it! I'm constantly rubbing my lips together, so can't really comment that accurately on wear time, however as it's such a joy to apply - being so moisturising - I'm always reapplying anyway! This can be an issue though, as for £7.99, I have a feeling the 2.5g you get for your money isn't going to last a very long time! On the other hand, the fact that I am using it so often speaks positively about it I suppose!

Overall, I'm on the fence about these - I will likely be getting myself a few more shades when another 3-for-2 offer appears, as I don't think I would pay the full price, however am interested to see how the other colours measure up.
