Daily Makeup: Work

For work, I like to keep my makeup simple. Spending 80% of the working day in a hot kitchen does nothing for the staying power of even the best foundation, or the most resiliant eyeshadow. Over the summer, I've settled on a combination which works for me, is quick and easy - perfect for those 8am starts! It's my little routine that gets me ready to face the day (and hoards of tourists/fussy customers/everyone and their dog).

I use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush for my foundation, which I absolutely love and don't know what I did before it! I've also been loving the MeMeMe highlighter in Sunbeam - I only recently got this for a bargaineous £3.25, and it's a new staple in my makeup bag.

On my eyes, I use a combination of Sin and Half Baked on my lids, before applying Naked and Buck in the crease. A little bit of Half Baked and Smog under my eyes, and Virgin to highlight the inner corners, and I'm done! I picked this combination up after watching one of Pixi2Woo's videos and I love it!

I recently picked up Sleek's blush in Rose Gold, and I think I'm a little addicted - it's a gorgeous, gorgeous shimmery pinky peach with a little gold. Full review coming soon, but safe to say, this is a new favourite. I've heard a lot of people compare it to NARS Orgasm as well, which is never a bad thing!

In other news, I went to see the new Bourne movie last night. I've never seen any of the Bourne movies, but have heard this one is a good stand alone film. I got the general plot, but there didn't really seem to be anything going on? I don't know, maybe I need to give it another chance, but I didn't love it! Also, it's actually my last shift at work today before I go back to uni, so this week will be full of packing and getting organised - is anyone else wondering where the summer went?!!
