Brussels: city of waffles, chocolate and frites. I'll admit to knowing very little about my new home for the next 4 or 5 months, but having arrived last Saturday and spent the week finding my feet, I'm definitely ready to explore what Europe's capital has to offer. I'm here to study and finish my Erasmus year, which so far has consisted of paperwork and skiing - so not a bad trade-off!
A week isn't long to make lasting impressions I think, but so far it's been good - bar a 100euro travel fine, which was not a fun letter to receive! I'm living with all French/Belgians which is going to be amazing for my French hopefully, and start lessons this week which I'm excited and nervous about in equal parts! Bar seeing the Grand Place, a few nights out and of course a little bit of shopping this week has been all about settling in...I can't wait to see what this term has in store!
