Lily Lolo: A New Look

I've been loyal to Lily Lolo ever since I discovered them about 6 years ago, and have seen them go from strength to strength. Their mineral foundation is almost the only foundation I will use, due to the combination of it's gentle formula and my temperemental skin. Recently, the brand have had a complete facelift and I will admit to being very excited when I finally ran out of my current pot of foundation (this stuff lasts!) and was able to get in on the action myself!

The previously white (and therefore easily marked with makeup) packaging is gone, in it's place a sleek black matte design with sharp edges and a subtle logo. It's not something which affects the quality of the foundation of course, but it really does make a huge difference to how the product is presented - it looks much more sophisticated and clean. I absolutely love it - it's nice to have a little shakeup every now and then and Lily Lolo have got it just right.

This post is really more about the rebrand than the foundation itself, however I will pop in a little note on the product: this stuff doesn't break me out at all and when I wear it I really do feel like I'm not wearing foundation at all. There's nothing worse than that caked on feeling which thankfully this doesn't even come close to achieving. It blends like a dream (I use Lily Lolo's kabuki brush) and there are a fair few shades to choose from. The coverage I would say is medium - it looks very natural, but I like to add concealer if I'm going out in the evenings to really cover up any marks. All in all, I can't recommend Lily Lolo enough! A little less expensive than other mineral makeup brands out there as well, which is a bonus.
